Written by:

Have you ever dreamed of gliding effortlessly through crystal-clear waters, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and exotic marine life? Learn to scuba dive in Phuket offers the perfect opportunity to realise that dream. With the PADI Open Water Course, you can earn a globally recognised diving license in three unforgettable days — and explore some of Thailand’s most stunning underwater environments.

Why Phuket Is the Ideal Place to Learn To Scuba Dive?

Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, is a world-class diving destination known for its warm tropical waters, professional dive schools, and easy access to premier dive sites. Among them, the Racha Islands stand out for their excellent visibility, calm conditions, and rich marine biodiversity, making them the perfect training ground for new divers.

The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the world’s most widely recognised scuba qualification. Once certified, you can dive independently (with a buddy) to depths of 18 meters (60 feet), opening up endless underwater adventures wherever you go.

A Three-Day Journey to Scuba Certification.

The course is thoughtfully structured to balance theory, confined water practice, and open water diving. Here’s what your journey will look like:

Day One: Pool Training

Your first day starts with a hotel pick-up and transfer to a private scuba training pool. Under the guidance of professional instructors, you’ll get familiar with scuba equipment and practice essential skills such as mask clearing, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures. This session helps you build confidence in a safe and comfortable environment before heading to open water.

By early afternoon, you’ll return to your hotel with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the exciting dives ahead.

Days Two & Three: Coral Reef Diving at the Racha Islands

The following two days take you to the beautiful Racha Islands, just south of Phuket. Each morning begins with a transfer to Chalong Pier and a scenic boat ride across the Andaman Sea. The waters around the islands are teeming with life, making them an ideal location for your open-water training dives.

You’ll complete a total of six dives over these two days, exploring a variety of coral reef ecosystems and marine habitats. Enjoy a relaxing buffet lunch on the boat between dives and soak in the island views.

Racha Islands – Discover What Lies Beneath The Surface?

The Racha Islands offer a truly magical underwater experience. Expect to encounter colourful schools of tropical fish, swaying sea fans, and hard and soft corals in purple, pink, and gold hues. Watch clownfish play in anemones, spot camouflaged scorpionfish, and marvel at the grace of angelfish and butterflyfish.

If lucky, you might dive alongside a sea turtle or catch a glimpse of a reef shark in the deeper waters. The area also features artificial reef structures, which attract a wide variety of marine life and provide an intriguing backdrop for underwater photography.

Everything you need for your training and comfort is provided, including:
